PS8RF/Beacon transmits in the frequency of 7.035 MHz, with power of 3 W. It was elaborated by José Gomes - PY2MG - QRP Brazil Team - ( http://www.py2mg.qsl.br/ ) and kept by me - PS8RF in Teresina (GI84ov), that it is the capital of the state of the Piauí in northeast of Brazil. It emits in cw PS8RF BEACON GI84ov "and letters " STP (that are the initials of SAVE the PLANET).

Ele emite em cw PS8RF BEACON GI84ov " e as letras " STP "que são as iniciais de SALVE O PLANETA".

The seven first stations that to send for the e-mail mycall@hotmail.com a writing of the Beacon in the format mp3 and to send a qsl card for my address ( it catches the address in http://www.qrz.com/) will receive a pretty sculpture of approximately 10 cm from the Cuia Head sculptured in pedra sabão ( is a rock - rock soap ) and personalized with its call.

The division of the sculptures will be of the following form: 3 sculptures for stations of Brazil and are of the State of the Piauí; 3 sculptures for stations of Brazil and one sculpture for inside of the territory of the state of the Piauí.

The Legend of Cuia Head ( English )

Crispim was a fisherman who lived in the place where the waters of the river parnaiba if find with the ones of the river poty ( in Teresina City capital of state Piauí in northeast Brazil ). Certain day crispim came back toward house without having obtained to fish a fish. Irritated, when perceiving that in house nothing she had to eat, it killed the mother with an ox skeleton; before dying; the old one cursed Crispim condemning it to live it of the great head.Despaired, crispim if played in waters of the Parnaiba river and alone will be disenchanted when to become related sexually with seven virgin Marias. From there for ahead, always they say that it appears in floods of the rivers, turning canoes, scaring laundrywomen in its frantic search for the perpetual rest, with the attempt to fulfill the sina of keep sexual relations with seven virgin Marias.

A Lenda do Cabeça de Cuia ( Português )

Crispim era um pescador que vivia no local onde as águas do Rio Parnaíba se encontram com as do rio Poty em Teresina. Certo dia, Crispim voltou para casa sem ter conseguido pescar um peixe. Irritado, ao perceber que em casa nada havia para comer, matou a mãe com uma ossada de boi; antes de morrer, a velha amaldiçoou Crispim condenando-o a viver como monstro da cabeça grande. Desesperado, Crispim se jogou nas águas do rio Parnaíba e só se desencantará quando ele manter relaçoes sexuais com sete Marias virgens. Daí por diante, sempre dizem que aparece nas enchentes dos rios, virando canoas, assustando lavadeiras em sua busca frenética pelo descanso eterno, com a tentativa de cumprir a sina de manter relações sexuais com sete Marias virgens.
